Northwest Georgia Steel Guitar Show
February 6th is the day we will once again try to have a steel guitar show. It seems that we are having a real hard time trying to put this one on. We have some great player who have said they plan to participate and we appreciate those players. In the past we have had some good shows and I know we will succeed in doing so with this one. I thank all the Georgia player for their support. This year the show will take place at the Yaarab Shrine Temple in Atlanta. 100% of all money raised will go to the Shriners Hospitals For Children. I hope if you are in this area on this date you will come by and enjoy the show. I will post a player list at a later date.
I thank you all
Jerry Braswell

This is to support one of the GREATEST causes you can imagine, the Shrine Hospital. 98% of every dollar donated goes directly to the hospital. Other institutions don't even get close to that. Jerry, you have the full support of the Georgia Steel Guitar Association, let us know how we can help! GaSGA members...this is one you shouldn't miss. See you all there on the 6th. The new location is out of this world.

JJ,
No, I'm NOT on Ponce de Leon - but I lived there in the early 70s.
I-85 goes North & South straight through the heart of Atlanta. Ponce de Leon runs perpendicular to I-85. I believe the exit is the same whether coming North or South to Atlanta.
Exit NORTH AVENUE, and go East. Ponce runs parallel to NORTH, so start thinking about making a left turn to get over to Ponce de Leon. Once you get to Ponce, keep heading East. The Temple is on the left hand side of the road – I’d say about 1.5 miles (maybe less) on Ponce de Leon. You can ask anyone. It’s been there for many years. SUPER location, too!!!!!!
Let's make it a huge success!!!
Hey Steve, you'll get extra points if you bring Mike Bagwell!!!

Why Larry Moore can't find his way out of a paper sack. He had to follow me all the way to Dallas, TX and back last year. But I will tell you, he could not keep up.
Not sure if I will be at this one. Waiting on my first grandchild in Pensacola. When the call comes, I am outta here within an hour, no matter where I am. Bags are packed.

Bill,
Do you remember the Dick Van Dyke episode when Laura went into labor? You and Linda better be practicing the quick departure - and probably let Linda drive. Not sure the roads will be safe with Grandpa manuvering!
Seriously, we wish your family the very best in this wonderful, live-changing event!!
Love,
Donna

It looks like we are going to have one fine show. We can add Bill Ferguson and Bob Strum to the line-up of talent. It appears Bill will get to spend some time with his new grandson and still get to be a part of the show. We also welcome Bob Strum to the show. I have heard him play many time in Saluda and I think he will be a good addition. We have 20 players lined up to play. So, without a doubt we will have some good music at the Yaarab Shrine Temple, 400 Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta Georgia on February 6th, 2005. We do welcome all music lovers. My thanks to all who will participate in helping put on this show. I hope I will see you there.
