Post by Andre Haqvinsson »

Hey there im Andre Hakwinsson, I am excited to finally have joined the Forum. It took some time but now im here. I am a Steel player from Sweden and i play a 1955 Fender T8 (bought in Texas 2004) thru a Standel 25L15. i play alot of guitar also ( check out my myspace) Ive been thinking of a 10 str pedal steel but its still so many nice songs to be learned on the lapsteel so i just exeriment and have fun with the lap steel for now.

Last month we released our new Cd with Lil Linn & the Lookoutboys, its Vintage Western Swing/ Rockabilly / Country , with alot of 8 string Steel,

Andre, I am sort of inquisitive here, I notice that your Stringmaster has only three legs, (one end two the other one) do you ever have trouble with it being not very stable if you happen to lean on the end that has only one leg?

Great stuff. Love your "armpit guitar" playing too on that first Youtube video link on your MySpace page.

Hey Les

Yes it can be a problem if you had too many drinks, ha ha no seriosly i never lean on the Steel like that, it might be a problem if you adjust it very very high, but it feels very stable and i never had any problems.

I mostly prefer to play it standing, you get alot more energy in the music that way i think .
