Dave,

Wish I could be there, but I've got a gig in Roanoke, VA. I'll try to listen on the radio if clear channel 650 AM will pull through, or I'll get it on the Internet later. I hope Ronnie does his country stuff. Do you know if he'll have a steel player? It would be nice if Dicky would come with Amber. Smile

How about an update. What did she sing? Who played steel and fiddle? Question Question Question

I spoke with Amber on Friday and she told me Tommy White would be handling the steel guitar chores.

Wow, what a tough choice. Dickey or Tommy.

Man, I hope all of this sudden fame does not change Amber's sound.

Ronnie doesn't have a steel player in his band. He's been one of the best tradtional country singers of all time. Then he stopped doing tradtional. I'm sure there's more money in changing with the times. Can't blame him for that. But..............

It ticks me off when these guys throw their kudos at people for keeping it country, but they don't do it themselves. They should tell the rest of the story. Like: "I used to do traditional country myself, but to make a decent living at music I had to change with the times and get into the new country scene. I love traditional country, but it just doesn't sell."

I'm one of Amber's biggest fans. I wish her the all the best. She can sing anything they throw at her. Time will tell what direction her music goes.

I really don't think you need to worry about Amber Digby becoming some kind of bubblegum pop country diva. She is determined to stay true to what's in her heart and she will definitely always be pure country. No Nashville record deal is going to change that. I guarantee there will always be a steel in her band, too. So, fear not friends, Amber IS the real deal.

i think it's safe to say that i know amber better than anyone else...traditional country is a huge part of who amber is, and always will be...but i can honestly say that traditional country music is not the only thing that makes her who she is...(and anyone who truly knows amber, knows this already)...i think the important thing thing that i can say as her husband and, more importantly, her friend...is that she needs to be true to HERSELF...and make the music that inspires HER...no matter what...that has nothing to do with me or anyone else...and i feel that is EXACTLY what she will do...she will not be making music that does not feel like it is "HER"...or that does not inspire her...

btw - i agree with my bro, dave biller...there will always be a steel in amber's band...

That's fair enough. I know a lot of us are pulling for her. There's no lack of talent in either one of you. Wishing you guys the greatest success. Smile
