Hey everyone...

No official word as yet from the contest, but barring anything unexpected after-the-fact...we WON! : )

Can't thank all of you enough for your support. As the only thing I have that is personal enough to share in return is what I do, I've created a post called "A Big Thank You" under Steel Players with a link to a tune I wrote just for all of you. I don't think it's enough, but it's what I have.

So many of you posted so much to keep this thing going, but...Jim Cohen, you were a one-man motivational activist and took it upon yourself to spearhead this campaign. I should run for office while the iron is hot right?

I'll be sure to let everyone know when the contest winners are officially declared. No matter what, you are all fantastic and we love you.

The magazine says that the Winners will be announced by the end of day today. Not sure if that means 5pm Arizona time or what, but keep an eye on their website, probably at this link, to hear the output of the proverbial Fat Lady!

OK, so today the Arizona Foothills Magazine online placed this link http://www.arizonafoothillsmagazine.com ... ners-.html saying it's announcing the contest winners. When you go there it talks a bit and then provides yet another link which then takes you to the voting catgories. Then under the "Best Local Band/Musician" category, it just lists the final percentages next to each nominee.

This may be as official as it gets for awhile, so at least I'm ok with now saying....."WE WON!!!"
