Excellent tone. What kind of pickups are on that instrument? Lollar imperials?

Hi Michael, they are Lollar custom wounds (spacing issues with regular humbuckers)but not far from the
Lollar "Imperial" tree. Smile

Very cool, thanks for the info. The tone is both big and clear. It's a nice combination.

hey, Jason, is that because the string spacing is wider than a normal humbucker? I'm always wishing for just a bit more width on my lap steels.

Hi Mark, Yeah the spacing is just too tight with a regular humbucker for my liking too.

Wow, that is TTDF (tone to die for) for sure, even with the crappy Youtube audio.

Is he using a pedal for overdrive? If so, what is it?

10-4 Bill, I'd sure like to know what the signal chain was too!
I know the chain starts with that mans talent, but whatever he's plugged into is giving it up nicely.
It's funny when his partner says "there's nothing bluegrass about that thing" LOL
