Looking for a new steel player - weekly Chicago shows

Post by Dan Whitaker »

I'm losing my steel player (again!) and I'm looking for a player with some skills that wants to play at least weekly in Chicago. Lots of times we play both Friday and Saturday, sometimes downstate or in Wisc. Mostly always a Chicago gig each week (in the city, not the burbs). If you can only play the chicago gigs that would be OK too. Pay varies, but lets just say you're not going to break the bank, we mostly do it because we love playing classic country. 1/3 original, 2/3 classic country covers. We don't do any new country. I need this person to play pedal steel 100% of the time, not switch off to guitar. If you are interested, and you have the ability to rip off a solo in any key, then please contact me. The gigs would begin in January 2010.
My website is www.danwhitaker.com
You can also call me at 773-671-0074

Also, if you would like to be on my steel player substitute list please contact me.

thanks,
Dan Whitaker
