I'll be playing steel and a bit of harmonica on Monday with Broke Down Engine at Acme Underground. We'll be doing some country-rock standards and a few of the standby chestnuts. It's an early show, so pop on by after work and say hello! I don't know whether there is a cover or not.

Not too shabby. It's a nice room. I had never played there. I wasn't feeling particularly nimble, so I tended to keep things simple. It's more of a rock-type band, so I figure it's best to let the six-string wail while the steel sings.

Hmm...very poetic.

Things I learned: Never try to play harmonica while seated and bending over a mike. Head-rush city!

So, Mr. Van Allen, when we see you during your annual Rodeo Bar pilgrimage?
