David, I use a DD-3 delay mainly for trying to learn OBS from your DVD. :) I use the amp reverb on my Nashville 1000, it has the Burr Brown chip mod, which IMO sweetens up the reverb, and overall sound of the amp.

Hi,
I currently use a pod 2.0 but in the past I have used many differnt pedal including wah and talk box. The pod has everything I would want at this time.

I have a pedalboard with effects boxes on it. I use it sometimes according to the song as my band plays a variety of stuff. Mostly I use them for distortion and delay, sometimes phase or chorus and a filter. That being said, the best tone is my Emmons through the Sarno Freeloader and Goodrich 120 volume pedal to my Fender Twin Reverb with out any other signal processing. My amp's reverb sounds better than the stomp boxes I have tried.

When I play pedal steel, I usually use a rack setup with rack effects.
However, I do use some stomp boxes when playing non-pedal or lap steel.

Can you call a Fender tube reverb unit a pedal? Maybe in an old school sense? It does sit on the floor and is controlled by a footswitch. It gets used with non-reverb amps like Showman and the Bandmaster. The Fender tube driven spring units, internal or external, are my faves.

I badly want one of those for my baritone guitar. Thinking of building my own from a kit and housing it in something cheap like an old sturdy mailbox.

When I use a pedalboard this is it (for now):
BYOC Mighty Mouse
Dunlop UniVibe
MoogerFooger MuRF
Boss DD20 delay
built in amp reverb (usually Nashville 400) or EH Holy Grail
GFI Ultra D-10 8x5/Sarno Freeloader/Telonics volume pedal/Fender Super Six Split Cab with a 1x15 BW

James,
I picked up this Fender reverb a few years ago.
It is a re-issue of the original.
I did have one of the original ones, however.
I used it along with a Fender Bassman to play through.
At present, I use the Fender reverb along with this re-issued Fender Twin (no reverb on the amp).

Erv,

That's the baby. Mine is blonde with oxblood grill. I will be looking for a tweed cab or a second tweed unit to use with my Tweed Fox bassman.

I'm just not fond of digital reverb. It sounds a bit funny to me, almost a grainy sound, must be my ears. DD can be ok.

Best,

Rich

Rich,
I know just what you're saying.
I tried to dial in a Boss RV-5 the other night and just couldn't get the sound I was looking for. :D

You need a third option on your poll: Sometimes

I sometimes use a delay pedal - lately an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay, sometimes a Boss DD5. But I prefer my Ibanez AD202 rack unit.

I also use pedals for fuzz and overdrive with PSG. It depends on the type of music the gig involves.

I don't have a reverb pedal, but I have a Boss 1/2 rack space digital reverb unit I use when I can't use amp reverb. Kind of noisy, but it has that "paid for" feature that I like.

Boss ME-20 multifx unit.

Really I have it because the volume pedal is very, very low. I use the delay, tuner, a faux-leslie patch, and a tube-screamer type OD. Usually I just use the vp and delay though. Reverb comes for the amp.

I am experimenting with a Morley EVO-1 oil can delay pedal and a Digilog Delay by Freak Show effects. Each has a very different sound.

Love me some oil can delay...so organic and syrupy...really liking the way it interacts with the PSG.

Boss DD-20 digital delay
Boss RV-5 digital reverb

One or the other, but never both at the same time. It depends on which amp I'm in the mood to use.

Most all the time, I just use the EFX built into my amp.
