I want to keep the unused jacks covered on my daisy cable. I went to Home Depot for some vinyl tubing but they don't have all the sizes loose anymore. I tried a pet store but the fish tank hose is too small. Any suggestions other than tape?

You could always try your local auto parts store and see if they have any rubber vacuum caps that are the right size. |

Ditto David's suggestion. If you have a friendly auto repair shop, ask them also. They sometimes come on various fuel, electrical pigtails and fluid parts that they order. I used to throw a bunch of them away when I was in the business. A pack rat mechanic may have some squirreled away somewhere. |

Most of those places also have variety packs of different sized ones for pretty cheap too. |

Why not take a length the of tubing that is just a little bit to small and cut them to the correct lengths you need to fit and dunk them one at a time into a pan of boiling or right beneath the boiling point of water for a very very short time using pliers or another type of utensil (be careful not to mash them or leave marks in them) then remove them with the same utensils and when they get cool enough to touch but still very warm just slip them over the ends and leave them on until they are cool to the touch then remove them and now they will be the right size. Be careful and not burn yourself at first when you remove them out of the hot water. I've done this many times with other things that needed re-sized that were of a plastic or rubber nature but be very careful of how long you dip them in the boiling water no doubt they will only need to be in there for just a second or maybe less. You don't want to melt them Have fun
