Well, sort-of, anyway...
It turns out that the Goodrich volume-pedal 'pot' hadn't gone south on me; I took the pedal to my pal in his Ft Myers music shop, and he called me later today to tell me.....
...the string had broken!!!
'Come and pick it up - no charge.'

Well!!! If you're going to keep confusing my arguments with facts...
Anyway, there was plenty of string in my golf-bag (if I'd have figured it out!)
((By the way - I just scored forty-something; pick the bones out of THAT! )) _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

That'd look real good at a session, re-stringing your volume pedal - "Wait - I'm pretty sure the string goes around here...." Just one more second.... |

Roger - I'm just curious about who you use in Ft. Myers. I am across the river in Cape Coral. |
