Leona Atkins, Chet's wife passes at 85

Mrs. Leona Atkins, wife of guitar legend Chet Atkins passed away after a lengthy illness. She was 85. She was a grand lady loved by all and will be greatly missed. RIP Miss Leona.

Yes, I just heard yesterday and was going to post it. Glad you mentioned it. She was a great woman behind a great man. We loved them both.

We met Miss Leona at the CAAS in '94. She really was a classy lady that knew how to live with a guitar picker and stay with it.
She was half of the Johnson Sisters singing duo. The other sister married Jethro Burns.
