Post by CB Blackwell »

Its so frustrating to try to watch a video that keeps stopping all the time. Whats the problem here?
Takes ten minutes to watch a two minute video. Can this be fixed? "Help"

Hi CB
Maybe this will help you. Go to youtube and click on your account and then click on your playback setup. See what box you have checked on video playback quality. It will say choose a default setting. Click on Choose playback based on current connection speed, then click on save changes. This may help you. I know youtube is doing a lot of changes so you'll have to bear with them but this may help.
All my best

Yes, sounds like you have a slow connection, here in the UK they sell you a Broadband package which says up to 8mb speed, the operating words being "Up To" no one ever gets 8mb, lucky if you get 2mb. Check your connection speed and complain to your provider.

Hi CB, Sounds like you have a Hughes Satallite System.
That's what I'm stuck with. They say it's 100Kbs, but during
the day it's about 2-9Kbs and sometimes it don't even work.
I have to wait till late at night when the user traffic is low,
and then then I'll usually get a speed of around 70-100Kbs.
