Just Arrived home from a great Show at the Fairgrounds in gainsville Fl. corky did well, John Le Masters to Corky he heard some John Hughy in his playing. Great band and a great show.
Linda and I drove down from lake city and John came from Jacksonville.

The trip was worth it corky just to meet you, and hear you play, the intro to Farewell Party was a Loyd Green special.

Ernie, it was a great concert, with Gene doing all of his MANY hits. The band was tight and the arrangements very tasty.

Actually, I told Corky that I thought his playing had a touch of Lloyd Green stylings, with some of the very rich sounds using the 8th and/or 10th string in some neat combinations. He and the lead guitarist had a number of songs where they twinned fills and/or solos, too.

Gene introduced Corky as the leader of the Farewell Party band. Corky carries out that responsibility in an excellent manner, as evidenced by the band's tightness and those arrangements.

Corky is as nice as everyone says he is, too. He was very gracious, and took the time to talk with Ernie and me and others after the show. Great guy.

I noticed that he had Don Helms' autograph right across the front of his guitar - nice touch.

Thanks guy's. I appreciate the very kind words. It was great getting to spend time talking shop with ya'll. John, i wish i could take credit for the band, but these guy's do the work all by themselves. I love working with these guy's and consider them part of my family. I'll look forward to next year, Lord willing. Take care.
