I just started giging with my Dynalap, and as for now I am just using a "soft Gigbag" as a case. I am afraid that it may be hard on the upright tuners and the guitar itself. Though I am careful transporting it, I would like to find some hard shell case that it would fit in snugly.
Is there a case for this Dynalap model?
Have any of you made a case for this style lapsteel?
Thanks in advance;

I solved this problem for just under $100 at the local gun shop.

They had a wide variety of high quality, light cases, designed for firearms. |

I use a gun case for my lap steel - it fits perfectly. The only problem is that it usually attracts some unusual comments when I carry it into a gig. _________________ Jim@MathisPhoto.net |

It's a great, cost-effective idea, and I would do this...
...however, I believe I'd experience quite of bit of trouble carrying something like this around Manhattan...could make me late for a gig _________________ Lap-n-Console Steel Guitar Lessons |

I think the "Take down" sized cases are just the ticket. They don't scream GUN CASE since they are much shorter. Slap a few music stickers (Fender, Gibson etc) on it and no one will even notice or care. |

I have a nice case for sale. It's a Carter Starter case, but I used it for my Frying Pan lap steel. I have some extra foam for it, which you are welcome to if you buy it. The case is not very big--I don't have the dimensions, but it's about 31 x 10 x 6 and light.

Dom,
You might pay a little more, but Kevin Hatton makes custom cases that have much better fits that will protect the guitar.
The following is his website. You could talk to him and see what he can do for you.
