Any local guys have a Zum I can try out?

I don't know why, but, I've had Zum stuck in my brain for the last month or so (actually longer but I talked myself out of it) Before I make a mistake, I'd like to sit down and try a Zum, maybe even side by side with my Emmons and see how I like it.

I bought my Zum without trying and when i sat first time it was like sitting at the wheel in a Vette or Jaguar. Amazing feeling. After 4 years it still feels like that to me.

Agree totally with Paddy. I've owned only one Zum, a 1990 model. If you like smooth, and good tone to, then you won't be sorry about buyin a Zum.

I have had a Sho-Bud,MSA and Emmons they were all good Guitars but the Zum I bought in 1984 is like setting at a Grand Piano.I play it at least two hours a day and I enjoy every minute of it.

Don't get me wrong guys, I know a Zum wouldn't be a mistake, but getting rid of what I have to get rid of to afford a Zum may be the mistake.

If you come to Myrtle Beach, I'm at the Carolina Opry. You can play my '06 Zum hybrid, and compare it with my '67 PushPull and my '74 Pushpull. Also, my wife has a Legrande III. I'd love to get together with you.

The P/P is like a '57 Chev. Sell it and you'll always regret it........The Zum is more like a Lexus SC, state-of-the-art perfection

You need both!

Keep driving the '57 and buy the Lexus in a little while, when you can afford it.

Hey y'all, thanks for all the offers! I might just have to plan a road trip to the beach! For those who have asked, Mine is a 71 Emmons fat back that I had rebuilt by Bryan Adams in 2003. It's been a great guitar but, y'all know how it is when you get the new (newer) guitar fever. What makes it even harder to part with is, the cool history on this guitat, nevermind that I've kept/played it longer than any other guitar I ever had (going on 10 years). I guess I'll try dropping the price on the bike and give it another week or so. Probably just the wrong time of year to try and sell it though. Might have to just hang onto it and try again in the spring.

keep the bike and the p/p...save your money and by a good used zum when you can afford it.

True enough! The bike needs to go anyway. I bought it last year to save gas money. To me, it was simply a work vehicle. I was doing all residential VOIP installs last year so I could haul what few tools I needed on the bike. Now I'm doing more commercial stuff, pulling cable etc and I can't haul spools of CAT5 and ladders on a bike! Definitely gonna hang on the the old P/P. If the bike doesn't sell in the next week or so, I'll just relist it the last week of November and if it doesn't sell for Christmas, then I'll try again in the spring. Christmas and Spring are the two best times of the yeah to sell a bike.

well if you pay attention to the forum you'll see that zum's don't go up for sale too often. second of all when a zum does go up for sale in the forum it only last about 2 to 6 hours before its sold. that should tell you something right there. i have bought a zum from bruce the man that makes the zum steel and there is not a finer man to talk to and do business with. only thing i can add to this is if you get a zum steel you'll be glad you did.
