Just a quick (genuine) thank you to those who have emailed me on the site.
The reaction so far is super and the stats are showing a pleasing number of hits. It appears that there is worldwide interest in the pedal steel and that is just great! … Colossal time and effort has gone into this to get this up and to give everyone there place (a task as yet incomplete) so if I haven’t done you justice so far I trust I will in due course!

I confess the deafening silence by way of reply on this post had me a tad concerned but the figures show a different story! Thank goodness!!…

If you pay the site a visit hit the contact page and say hello! Best regards………Bob

You can do me 'one' big favour if you can be bothered!..

Type pedalsteel.co.uk into google and hit the site that way, lets put the 'steel' on the www. map!

Thank you ..Bob

Bob,
Hard to believe You've had 200 hits on this post and no comments.
Your site is tremendous and it is so obvious that You have put a lot of work in to get it as good as it is,I have browsed it several times, there really is a lot of interesting info and with a bit of audience participation I can see it being THE place for steel players.
Thanks.

Bob -

Visited your site. Lots and lots of great info. b0b would be justified in adding it to his "links" section.

Well, I'll certainly comment on your site, Bob. I visited it and found it completely acceptable. Actually, I found it very informative too. In fact, I found your site very warm, inviting and a wealth of information on a view of the pedal steel that, for once, doesn't come from the southern portion of the United States. I am a big fan of Gordon Huntley's work with MSC, thanks for reminding us of his contribution to the world of steel guitar.
In fact, your site made me think of returning to my ancient ancestral homelands among the highlands of bonnie ol' Scotland. After about a minute of contemplating this move I remembered that Scotland is freezing for about 11 out of the 12 months that we are given each year and I felt better about the 90F (32.2C) temp that we are currently enjoying in Florida.
Hope to meet up with you next year in sunny Corfu and have a proper drink with Frank.

Hi Guys,

Billy,

I thank you for the kind words, yeh, the odd hour has been spent knocking it together, as for being ‘the place’ I felt there was a need to take the PSG to a wider audience so whilst having my own needs on the site I have endeavoured to do just that not wishing in any way to dilute the efforts of others especially the BSS for which I have the greatest respect and admiration, Roy has done a fantastic job over the years and I am certainly proud to be part of that community. I see my efforts as complimentary to the cause.

We shouldn’t really be surprised at the no comments Billy we are perhaps just as guilty when it come to all things east of Hull

Richard … You have restored my faith! And I thank you!

Mr Hodge!

90F You Sod! I could see my breath when I went outside this morning! Glad you enjoyed the site my friend. As a .uk site I will in due course make efforts to extol the virtues of players around the UK and beyond, even as far as Africa with the inclusion of Nic’s well deserved sound bite,(he was telling me the other day he was chasing elephants off his lawn!) that probably beats 90F !!
Anyway back to the script! There is much to add to the site but I hope the content thus far is complimentary to those concerned if you feel it is warm, that’s great! It is working!

As for Corfu and that other ZB Renegade, it is in the diary already and I’ll race you for the best bed at the Château Bloomfield!

And for your weather, I hope you get rain!

Take care all.

Best regards, Bob

Bob, brilliant website and "VERY" informative...good for you. Was suprised to see my name somewhere in relation to having a brill lesson from Gordon Huntley, stuff I learned off him I still play at every gig. Take care and thanks for posting this website.

Well Bob, you post really got me thinking, which is always a bad idea...just ask my wife. Anyway, I just thought it was fitting that there is a UK steel site. It is a well established fact that the present day steel guitar has its origins in Hawaii. It is also a well known fact that an Englishman, Captain Cook sailing from Plymouth, England, was the first white man to visit and report on the Hawaiian Islands. So...indirectly, and some may argue directly, the UK is responsible for introducing the steel guitar to the entire world. For that alone, Bob, you and your contrymen can take a well deserved bow. History also tells us that the aforementioned Captain Cook was killed by the inhabitants of the same Hawaiian islands. Whether, or not, this had anything to do with the steel guitar has never been established.
As far as Nic chasing elephants off his lawn, he wins the award as either the bravest man, or craziest, I have ever heard of. How exactly does a man chase away an elephant? Did Nic take lessons from Tarzan? Sure makes me appear to be a sniveling sissy for worrying about the snakes and scorpions in my backyard.
In any event have a wonderfully cold day in Scotland. I'm off to the beach for some swimming and fishing.
