ISGCC presents Mike "Cookie" Jones Oct 6
Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 7:30PM Central time we will be having the start of many shows/seminars/interviews for our fall and winter lineup in the Steel Guitar Room, sponsored by the International Steel Guitar Conference Center (ISGCC). We are a fee based membership club that has a lot of fun with our fellow steel players from all over the world. Our site is open 24/7. We have strived over the past 7 years or so to make this a room where you can talk live with other steelers from all over without the hassles of leaving your living room. Anyone wanting to become a member and participate in this unique fellowship of players may go to our website for additional information and fees, or you may contact me directly by e-mail. www.ISGCC.com
Tuesday, the 6th, we are honored to have Mike “Cookie” Jones stop in to talk a spell about his playing, his career, and perhaps we will “steel “ a few licks from him while he is with us. " You will be able to talk directly with Cookie and meet the other members while you are there. Anyone who may be interested in joining our well established group, and would like to participate in the Cookie Jones event, should do so no later than 24 hours of the event. That way we will have time enough to process your application.
Later on and also ongoing throughout the fall and winter season we will be doing seminars and lessons and interviews with lots of great steelers. All of these events are free to our membership and the information and fun you will get is simply unmatched. And of course, not to forget that every Wednesday night, we have a jam session where everyone can participate. We like sharing licks and hearing each other, from the new players to the seasoned pros.
So if you are a current member we will see you Tuesday night and if you would like to become a member, we look forward to hearing from you. Poor behavior and bad attitudes are not welcome. We take that very seriously and hope you will. It’s a great place to have fun. Remember it is “live” talking and playing so all of the other members can hear you and they may have other family members within ear shot, so we keep it clean and happy for everyone.

ISGCC and "Cookie"
I'm here to tell ya,,,we have more fun than a barrell full of monkies in the chat room. We talk, we play CD's, tracks/biab with live or recorded steel and steel by it self live. It's just a really nice "family and brotherhood" get together. It's comfortable and convienent from your own home and computer room. There's no telling who will show up or when and usually before long, there's a room full.
It's a lot of
, hardly none of
, and a little bit of
.
Mike "Cookie" Jones is a cookie monster when it comes to playing steel and sharing a world of knowledge about our loved instrument.
Come join us and you'll be glad you did.
Take care and God bless,
BB

This should be a great session.
Guy's, this is only a portion of what the ISGCC has to offer.
I've been playing for close to 7 years and I always learn new things when ever I'm in the room.
I always look forward to Wenesday nights as well because you can hear several different arrangements on a song you may have been working on and can draw from other players on how they did things.
I've yet to meet anyone that hasn't been able or willing to help me out with something I may have needed, from phrases to mechanical knowledge.
Through the ISGCC, I've become very good friends with a lot of the members that are involved and while I have never met most of them face to face, I feel like we are all a family.
Looking forward to seeing you all Tuesday night.
George

Well....it was a wonderful night last night. Hearing Cookie's music and also his live demonstration of licks that he uses was a special feature. It was a lot of fun and the "road stories" as always were amusing. We had a big turnout and I know Cookie was pleased to see that. Norm Hamlet was in last night as well and we were able to hear their "duel" performance from this year's St Louis Show. I would like to thank Jan Jones for putting it all together and hosting this event from his home. Also I want to thank Milton Willmann for the great emcee work that kept things going smoothly throughout the evening. Everyone had an opportunity to speak directly with Cookie and ask their questions. We have a fall lineup of seminars that we are putting together as well as some great little shows that I know some of you would like to be a part of. As a paid up member....all events are free. If you are interested...feel free to contact me for details on how to become a member
