Gold Star GF200 Banjo for sale of trade towards a D10

Post by Bill Myers »

I have had this banjo for a year and it is a terrific banjo. I just want to get another D10 Steel, so I am listing it for sale. Here are the details...

Flamed maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard
Flamed maple resonator, with Pre-War style deep-arch, tapered-wall
Triple-ply binding on fingeboard and resonator
Hand-cut pearl inlays in the traditional "Hearts and Flowers" pattern
Gotoh Tuning Pegs
Pre-War alloy, cast tone ring
Ebony peg head overlay
Polished ebony truss rod cover
Deluxe hardshell case with Green crushed velvet silk lining

I was personally told by Authur Hatfield (Hatfield Banjos) that these are the best sounding banjo's avaiable for under $2000 and they are exact replicas of Gibsons. I bought his brand new and I upgraded the tailpiece with a kerstner tailpiece. Other than that it is like brand new. There banjo's are $1400 at janet davis music (the cheapest place I have seen them). I will sell this for $850 plus shipping, or will trade this plus cash for a D10 guitar. I will post some pitures later today.
