I'd pay to see that guy. I could probably play banjo in his band. Our sour notes would match every now and then. :)

It takes real talent to sing that bad on purpose. Unfortunately, probably most of us can remember having to play with singers who can whip his butt with no effort or intention whatsoever. :( :( :(

The steel seems to be slightly out of tune. At least compared to the vocals
I know my playing is a bit pitchy, but at least my tone sucks

He seems to have some "meter". With today's recording technology I understand all his notes can be brought to the proper pitch and volume. With his wonderful personality and the addition of some Heavy Metal Guitars he could become a Star. Of course his Concerts would have to lip sinced.

Tony, yup.

Any other 'singer' doing that would get kicked off the stage.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Ernie,
I wish I'd written, "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere"! :)

You guys do realize it takes talent to sing like that and he's singing like that on purpose.

I want to thank all of the steel players on here for the nice comments, I'm always glad to have new fans. That Mike Johnson is really a nice guy, he told me my voice is unlike anything he has ever heard and I believe he meant it, he wasn't just being nice.

I'm having auditions for my band if anyone is interested but please don't call if you have tuning problems. I have perfect pitch and anything out of tune on stage drives me crazy.

Thanks,

Gilbert

Wow, a steel with built in autotune? Does it even sound like a steel?

I think you've got the job if you can drive a bus. We wear matching outfits, what size shirt do you wear?

Shirt? Does this mean you're not going to dress the band in hip boots and hair nets?
I really did enjoy the video clip, though.

Hey Gilbert,

I think that Mike Johnsteen guy on the steel was throwing you off a bit. I think someone put some foam under his pedals and they weren't going all the way down or something like that...it wasn't you buddy!
