Hello Brad,

First off, I want to thank you for the great upgrade you did on my older model Black Box. It arrived in fine kettle, and I've been messing with it ever since.

The tone modulation (dial) really is a great add-on. Right now I'm digging on the tone with it turned all the way counter-clockwise. Reminds me of the para-mid shift in my Vegas 400.

But my question is simple. You also added a 2nd 'OUT'. I've been playing through it, but what are some other uses for it?

Once again, my hat's off to you for a great steel accompanyment.
Very Happy

Chip, I used the second out on mine for silent tuning. Just kept a line there running to a Peterson tuner. Worked great. Brad's web site identifies that as the purpose, but maybe there are others?

Glad to hear it Chip.

That tone control is called a "variable impedance" or vari-z control. It interacts with the pickup's coil to complete a unique type of tone control circuit.

The new jack is a parallel, resistor "isolated" tuner send that enables silent tuning by only using the volume pedal as well as keeping the tuner out of the direct signal path.

Best,
Brad
