Here is a recording I made of four different guitars. An MCI RangeExpander D-10, an Emmons D-10 P/P, a Rains D-10 and on old 6149 Single Neck Sho-Bud. The song is Once A Day and please excuse my playing, didn't try to get it perfect. The guitars are divided into 4 parts of the song. Thought it might be fun for some of you to figure out what guitar is where. All where recorded on a Roland VS-2480 board, straight into board, no EQ, all set the same with all the same amount of reverb. Here is the link, hope it works. Henry

Fred, you got two of them right and Jim, you also got two right. Process of elimination should help figure it out. _________________ Henry Matthews

In the way I'm hearing it, the Rains and the Push Pull could take either 1st place or 4th place either one.
So, I conclude it this way.
1 Push Pull
2 Sho~Bud
3 MCI
4 Rains _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com

Answer based on process of elimination and clues, not based on listening because I haven't figured out how to open the link. |

Hey Fred, great ears, you hit it right in the button.
The MCI and The Rains sound alot alike to me. The P/P sounds great too but I have a different pickup on the P/P making it sound a little darker. The old Sho-Bud is a dog because I haven't finished the rebuild on it yet. Just had two pedals working on it.
Thanks everyone for looking and listening. Just thought it would be fun to compare the sounds of the guitars. _________________ Henry Matthews
