I get to visit San Antonio on October 23 & 24 (Friday & Saturday). Where should I go to hear some of the great local pickers?

Thanks
Jim

Check out the schedule for Billy Mata....our friend Roger Edgington is awesome. Do the same with Bobby Flores....you'll hear great steel from Randy Rienhard.

The newly remodeled Aztec theater on the river in SA now has a live country music show every Friday, Saturday (2 shows), Sunday and Monday. Big 10 piece band with my pal Tommy Detamore playing pedal and non-pedal. I haven't seen the show yet, but I hear it's getting rave reviews..

Jim,

Our band will be playing at Martinez Hall on saturday 10-24-09. It's lots of fun. An older crowd but they dance more than our younger fans. They have some of the coldest beer in San Antonio Area. Nice family place all ages. Wood dance floor.

Hey guys, thanks for all the great suggestions. I knew if I was going to Texas, I'd be in steel country! I'll be in town Friday and Saturday and I plan to get to as many of of these as I can.

Thanks again
Jim

Try Tra's country in San Antonio, also look at whose playing in Bandera. Bobby Flores band is the best (except for the Insiders) Randy Rhinehard is incredible.
