Emmons Nameless Shuffle

Post by Ron Meecey »

Buddy had this tune out a few years ago. It is a
very melodic shuffle in the key of G. Anyone have
tab to it? I play it, and was playing it in the Mullen room at the ISGC. Del asked me if there was tab for the tune.

Ok, I've got about 20 request for the Nameless Shuffle tab. Not thinking that anyone would be interested, I really didnt think that there would be that great of a demand. So, it may take be a couple of days, between work and trying to get things done around the house. I should have everyone sent a copy by Saturday.

There is a nice biab track that matches the way Buddy Emmons played it I think the year was 2004. Also it would be a good thing for everyone who wants tab to have a copy of the audio that I tabbed from. I've heard Emmons do it several times, and each time there was some differences. So I'll try to get everyone a copy of track that I tabbed from. Thanks Duane Becker

I'm starting to email out the tab to guys, but I am unsure about sharing the audio-after thinking about it. If I remember correctly, the audio of Buddy Emmons playing it is from Scotty's 04 convention/steel radio.com, so at this point I dont think its ok to share. Maybe I should contact Scotty to find out for sure.

I think I've contacted everyone who replied on the forum to send me an email at dhb@wildblue.net and I'll send them back a copy of the tab. If I've over looked anyone, send the email.

I'm not sure how to include attachments via the forum mail system.

To all who have already received a copy of the tab for Nameless Shuffle: I was overlooking the scans of Nameless Shuffle and on page 3, fourth line down, starting with the third measure, strings four and six, there should be a C pedal on the fourth string.

Its real faint on the original and doesnt look like the C came out on the scan. I may figure out a quick way to email everyone who has already got the tab. Thanks and sorry about that. Duane Becker

One more thing to add to all who have already received tab: On the fourth page, first line starting out the page, both times that strings 4 and 6 are played, there should have been a pedal C on string 4. Please add...
This section, I call "the walk up", is very tricky, several months ago I changed some things around, thinking that I had heard something different. Just forgot to add those two C's in at that time, and never really noticed until my good friend Gary Ball pointed it out this morning.

Ernie, ok on the audio, but is there a way to post the audio here on the forum? Anybody know? Be alot quicker to do that then to send the audio clip each time from my computer.

Just got off the phone with Duane and he said his Satellite modem crashed. He'll have a new one in a couple days. Meantime you can direct your requests to me via email and I'll pass them on.

Andy did you get the track ok?
