Anyone know when Fender switched over to this style of pedal ?

Ballpark guesses are fine. THanks.

Sliff is probably the best Fender cable steel historian we have, but I'll take a shot.
I would say about the same time the sunburst finished 400 guitars came out.. Fender switched from stamped to cast pedals. I am thinking mid 63 into 64..
Also,an improved changer, roller nut and a Jaguar style pickup as oppossed to the Jazzmaster style pickup.. Most of these changes were made by 63-64, but I know there is crossover... I have seen sunburst steels with stamped pedals, and there may have even been some with older changers, pickups etc.. Fender was never known for throwing parts away. I would imagine many "older series" parts made their way on to "newer series" 400 steels.. Jim Sliff can be more precise, but by 64 the majority of 400 -1000 steels had switched to cast pedals like the one pictured
