Could this be a Fender pedal steel pick-up?

I've never seen a Fender pickup that looked like that.

You have a 1959 hand wound Sho-Bud pickup, worth much much more than a Fender pickup. Jr. Brown would kill for that pickup.

Yeah, the seller had TWO and I missed both of them! He parted out a thrashed 1000 - I got the pedal rods and control plate.

Is this a Fender pickup? It fit's the guitar exactly but is taller by 1/16 - 1/32 ". The magnets have slotted heads and the coils are covered with ceramic(?).
It's the one on the right.

Thanks.
Nice score Garry! Very Happy

Thank you Bobbe and Dave, you've just made my day Very Happy I wasn't quite sure why I bid on it ... you don't see many 8-strings pups for sale.
We're going to put this in a test-bed steel and get the most out of it! It may even wind up in a guitar of my own.
If you want to know any specifics I'd be glad to pass them along.

No, I have several of them in 8 and 10 string versions.

Cool ...Any of them for sale?
Do you have any history on them and why someone would put one in a Fender 400? This is really interesting!

Thanks-garryv
