KSGA September 2009 Meeting

Hello again to all. We had a wonderful turnout for the meeting. I think we had 34 people. Thanks to everyone who came out and gave us their support.

The music was great, and we made lots of plans for the upcoming Route 66 Show. It should be one of the best we have ever had. I believe Ray said we had 43 confirmed players and that is more than we have ever had before. The ladies are making plans to have all that famous food ready for everyone. It's going to be a fun time, so don't miss it.

Austin got to show off his new Mullen G2 this month. He is very proud of it, both looks and in how it plays and sounds. Thanks again to Mullen Guitars. (We even caught Larry Garrett behind the new Mullen.)

The folks who brought and played their guitars this month were:

Larry Garrett
Lee Ogle
Ray Qualls
Marty Neer
Jim Sentlinger
Austin Stewart
Benny Haynes
Paul Troop

Bass Guitar: Doug Cole
Drums: Jerry Scott
Sax: Phil Armstrong
Guitar: Jerry Hoffman

Folks who came to listen and support were:

Janet Haynes Shirley Bowan
John & Ruth Thomas
Bonnie McClenning
Bob Taylor Carol Humphreys
Marvin Groff Corky Davis
Bernadene Newman
Louise Wade
Clara Houck Anita & David Flowers
Jim & Guyla Coleman
Glenda Edens
Donald & Ruth Sageser
Randy & Dana Stewart
Corky Adams

Thanks again to all who came out for the KSGA.

Dana Stewart

It was a great time. Lot of people, lot of treats, and some great pickin.
Austin sounded great as usual, except this time it was with that beautiful new Mullen.

Dana, that's great to see so many supporting the KSGA club. I'm just curious, is that Marty on Ray's right? He surely was looking down at his pedals but it looks as though he is sleeping. Laughing Can't wait for the October show!

Hey Norma, yes, it sure is good to see so many come for the KSGA.

I didn't think about Marty looking like he was asleep, but when you mentioned it, I got tickled. He did look like he was out like a light. We can do better than that for Marty......

Hi Dana,

Yes, it was a great afternoon! The hospitality of KSGA is second to none. You ladies did a great job (as usual) with the food and coffee and the pickers were really "gettin' after it".

I was admiring Austin's new Mullen when he asked if I'd like to play it. I said, "I'd love to!!!" It plays like a dream and sounds so-o-o good! Thanks Austin.

I really had a good time.

Y'all are welcome to come to Siloam Springs on September 13th for our next get-together.

Larry
