First of all if you can even understand what I,m trying to describe my hats off to you. Good luck.If you have any ideas I would be great full. I have two steels a Bethel made by Dick Miller and a Mullen made by Del mullen. Her is my situation.I Lower the 10th B to A with LKL and that's fine. And of course I raise the B to a C# with the A pedal, that's fine also.My problem come into play on the Mullen when I Lower and raise it at the same time. I want it to come back to B like it does on the Bethel,The mullen come back sharp somewhere between C# and B.The split tuner does not seem to have any affect on the tuning. Thanks for ant info!!

You probably already know the 2 basic types of tunable installed splits, but there is some good info in this thread: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=104579&highlight=split+tuning

You don't say which methods are used on ea. guitar. Hopefully you'll find some help here.

Generally, you have to have enough changer travel for your longest lower pull first, then tune from there using one of these methods in the link above.

If you're already doing these things and still can't tune the split to your specs., may be best to call Mullen. The split you are attempting is doable for sure.
