Just wondering if anyone knows of a place that actually stocks steels in California that has a decent selection....? I thought I heard of a place down in San Diego but can't recall....

Also, Blackie Taylor's shop out in Riverside.

Backie has served the So Cal steel guitar community for decades. Let us not forget him.

Any trip to this part of the state should include both shops.

NICE JIM!!

I will definitely be stopping by your store next time I am down south.... I know it is a bastard of a hard thing to do but I do hope that you get your inventory linked to the website.... as someone who has done some time in music retail i assure you it will help!

I have purchased my steel from Blackie, as well as taken lessons. He's a great guy.

I agree about Blackie. I took lessons from him when I started in the mid 1970's when he was in Hawaiian Gardens and he is a super guy and very knowledgeable.

I've been to both and Jim's is more of a "real" store; Blackie's is an old-time shop attached to his house. Both are good places to visit, but I give the nod to Jim for having far more inventory and accessories.

Plus anyone that has Sneaky playing on Jackson Brown's "Take it Easy" as the song byte on his website is my kinda guy....
