Here's how I do it: Steel in the grey case, legs, pedal rack, pedal rods in the small grey case, 112 speaker cab, storage seat with AI Clarus SL-R amp, VP, cords, etc. All the major stops on the A train have elevators now, so I either walk if it's a few blocks, or grab a cab. Weather can be an issue, of course, but so far I've been lucky.

| Transporting gear in NYC is always a big hassle. Midtown parking can cost as much as $50 per hour. Street parking is non existent. NYC cops have zero tolerance for double parking while loading in. Public transport is definitely the way to go. Looks like you have the ultimate rig. Sweet! |

Clean.
So how long is the lip on the hand cart----it is under the speaker & seat too?
What cart is that?
I have yet to tighten up my haul like that. But neither do I have elevators at my local subways--this rig really isn't an option. I drive, in spite of the very real stuff that John catalogs. In fact my rig is the only reason I sill keep a car in the city. |

| The cart is made by ruxxax. I got it about ten years ago, and I have not been able to find another. The platform extends to the bottom of the cushion, just enough to make it work. |

| Cool rig...If you can find an old Forbes luggage truck (the kind they use in fancy hotels)it will extend the "tongue" even further. Plus, it has big pneumatic tires which are great for when you have to haul gear over non-paved terrain. |

| I've looked at the "hotel style" carts, and the only problem with them is that they don't fold up. The Ruxxax's wheels fold in and the platform folds up so the cart is about 2" front to back and fits perfectly in the trunk of a taxi with the small case still attached. Also, the platform is just enough but not too much for my load. |

Anone else transporting gear without a car? Looking into the wesco hand trucks right now....
I think my steel and my Evans amp might be a little too wide to get onto the nose. |
