Pro fex II Problem?

I reciently had my Pro-fex II crap out on me at the last gig I played. I heard a loud noise and now the display says Output Muted. None of the buttons work amd I can find nothin in the Peave book on it. Any Ideas?

Reinitialize Profex 2 by holding down the "PLAY" and "GLOBAL" buttons and then apply power.


I suspect you have a bad battery (if there is one) or the unit suffered a power surge.

Ken, thanks for the information, I couldn't find anything in the book to understand what was going on. I did as you suggested and the unit fired right up. I just have to put the settings back in from the card. I believe I may have to initialize the card before I can do that again but your help has got me back on teack. Thanks again. God Bless

Does it still have a battery in it?

Roger, If you initialize the card, it will over write the settings on it, and load the factory settings to the card. Don't initialize it, unless you have another way to reload your settings to the card.

Battery replaced

Ken, the battery in this unit was replaced with one of your kits about a year ago. I still have another kit to replace the one in my other Pro-fex II but haven't got around to it yet. Hoppfully I'll be able to get to it soon. Thanks for the help.
