Burke is an old friend of mine from way back, when I used to travel to Toronto monthly. Tell him hi for me as I haven't talked to him in years..... He was a helluva player in the late 80's and I can just imagine what he's doing now....

Danny;
I'll pass on your message. I see Burke quite often both as one of his students and as a hard-core fan when he plays around town.
...bump...

Burke plays on one cut on Bob Taillefer's Northern Steel CD. He does a great job on "Cry"

b0b sells it. Check it out here

It is my understanding that Burke won't be travelling with them since he's touring with another act right now. Instead, I believe there will be an accordian player whose name I can't remember. You'd have to get in touch with them to confirm this, but this is what I heard from the director of Vancouver's Western Swing Society.

Incidentally, he seemed pretty excited about the accordian player.

You're so right, Don.
It's very interesting that Burke plays three instruments on that track - Dobro, Pedal Steel, and Ricky Lap Steel. Each has a solo. Beautiful mix!

Travis:
Thanks for your correction. I just checked with the Cowboys and indeed
BURKE IS NOT ON THIS TRIP.
Sorry for my misinformation.

Yeah, it's too bad--I saw them last time they were here and the steel was fantastic.
