Possible Jam w/ Roosevelt (Lee Boys), Wed 18th.

I'm trying to last-minute-organize a jam with Roosevelt Collier--pedal steeler from the Lee Boys--for tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th. If you have any leads on places we could hold it, preferably (but not necessarily) in the Broadway Oak/Cambie area, please e-mail me ASAP.

The time and (obviously) place have not been determined yet, but I'll be talking to Roosevelt this evening to try and determine what his schedule is like. If he can make it, it'll probably happen in the afternoon some time before their last show in Vancouver.

This last minute stuff is stressful, but I'm hopeful that it can be pulled off.

Okay, barring some unforeseen last minute disaster, the jam with Roosevelt is a go. Exact time and place are still to be determined, but it will start in the afternoon probably somewhere between two and five. It's not a big formal thing or anything like that, it's just a get together and play kind of deal. Charlie Hase should be there, but unfortunately Steve Dawson will be on Vancouver Island and won't be able to attend. I'm also still hoping to persuade one or two of Vancouver's steel guitar "elder statesmen" to come by... we'll see.
