Mention the platters and I think of my teen years,MAN they were great. Don't hear great stuff like that today. DYK?BC.

Hey Charles !
Seeing this post reminded me. Several years ago I was in the studio recording. And the Platters came in and recorded among other things a version of achy breaky heart.

I hated that song after playing it for years. But the version they did was really KOOL! I can't remember now how many original members were left at that time.Man you talk about sing!! They could flat out sing!!

I agree,what was so great about the platters were the tunes they chose,never heard a bad one,beautiful lyrics and melodies,something RARE today,DYK?BC.
