I don't know how many of you are aware of it, but in the Troubadour Theater, next to the Earnest Tubb Record shop on Music Valley Drive, they have a church service they call the Cowboy Church.Service begins at 10 am every Sunday. Dress is casual and the band is a country band with steel, fiddle, rhythm guitar, bass, drums, lead guitar, back up singers, etc. They have guest singers. I just attended for the first time this past Sunday. One of the guest singers was George Hamilton IV. Duane Marrs plays steel. Christian or not, I think you would get a blessing out of this service. Duane was very gracious and chatted with me after the service. There is a Chinese Buffet for $5.00 next door for those attending the church service.

George,
I agree with you in as much as you will get a blessing if you attend the Cowboy Church...They started having services in the lounge of the Holiday Inn at Elm hill Pike, and Briley Parkway..The response was so good, they had to have two services each Sunday a.m., to accomodate the crowd...
They have lots of guests attend the church, so you never know who you might have attending church with you...
Duane has been handling the band since they started...
I always look forward to going ,when I am in the area on Sunday...

RP...'come on in'..
