Thanks to all who answered my earlier thread about PT8 issues and comments.
I decided based on studio concerns to upgrade from a PC to an IMac as well, so I have several things to get up to speed on, but I've been very pleased so far with both halves of the equation.
The Mac (Leopard)is a very elegant machine and OS, and so far has worked flawlessly. I've done a couple of internet sessions with a lot of file transfers with none of the problems I was having with the PC.
PT 8 is a joy so far, nice GUI, and lots of new bells and whistles. Editing is sweet. Just have to catch back up to where I was with plugins.
A least for today I'm a happy camper.

Mark, Happy to hear you are enjoying PT 8 with the Imac... That is my exact setup...my only issue was i needed more ram so I increased it & had no problem since. I have to say that GBand is a pretty neat program as well, been toyin with that for a while too. All the best,Bruce
