I don't want to get into it, but sadly, I have to let my piece of country music history go. She probably should be in a museum, but economic times being what they are, that's not an option. She traveled the world with me with Tammy Wynette and George Jones and Dan Seals in the '80's, and has been on thousands of recording sessions. There are a lot of YouTube videos out there with me playing her. She's the third Franklin guitar Paul Sr. built, back in 1978. There was the prototype, then Paul Jr's first one, then this one. He serialized them as he sold them, so it is #11, officially. An SD-10, the pedal setup is Emmons, with LKL raising E's, LKR lowers them, RKL raises the F#'s to G#, and RKR lowers the 2nd and 9th strings. Still has the original hand wound Franklin pickup; not very many of those around. She has a Franklin volume pedal and the case Woody Woodell built, with what's left of the Tammy Wynette/George Jones stickers on it. Still plays like she's brand new; Paul knows how to build them. She also comes with a wealth of memories and stories; the memories I can't share with the new owner, but the stories of them I can.
She's not inexpensive; I'm asking $6,500. There's only one; I truly wish she could stay with me, but she needs someone else's loving touch now. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
