Lullaby of Birdland

Post by G Strout »

I was hanging out over at You Tube and came across a video of Marc Muller doing a solo version of Lullaby of Birdland on a 33 Rick Frying pan. Good player!! I really liked it. Just thought I would post the link in case anyone else finds it interesting.

Very Nice

I agree---- that was a very nice rendition. A difficult tune to play on any instrument, especially on the steel. Good chordal work for only 6 strings.
Nice job!

Thanks! Good take on a challenging tune...some nice chord melodies, and he held the tempo well-- that would have worked nicely over a rhythm section, for sure. I believe Marc is an SGF member and posted some concert clips a while back.

Bernie Kaai does an awesome steel version of this song when he recorded with "The Polynesians".
