Madison Avenue between 24th and 25th Street.
It should be a nice scene.

Day-of-show bump. Watch out for dive bombing pigeons.
Maybe you should get one of those hot dog cart umbrellas. Gotta keep that Franklin dry in the event a thunderstorm rolls through. |

Did your know:
The arm and torch of the Statue of Liberty were placed in Madison Square Park for six years beginning in 1876 to raise funds for the statue and construction of the base.
More Historical Facts:
America's first community Christmas tree was lit in Madison Square Park on Christmas Eve, 1912, as a gift to the less fortunate in the city.
The Eternal Light Monument was erected in Madison Square Park on Armistice Day, November 11, 1923 to commemorate the return of United States Army and Navy troops from World War I. The eternal light star after refurbishment was reinstalled on top of the flagpole in September 2002 thanks to the support of ConEdison, New York City/Parks and Recreation, and Sentry Lighting.
Madison Square Park was home to the first (1837-1871) and second (1890-1925) Madison Square Gardens.
Many believe that Madison Square Park is the birthplace of baseball, since Alexander Cartwright formed the first baseball club-the New York Knickerbockers-here in 1845.
In 1873 P.T. Barnum began hosting his circus in the then-abandoned depot on Madison Square.
In 1889 a temporary arch was erected at Madison Square at Fifth Avenue and 23rd Street for the centennial celebration of the anniversary of George Washington's first inauguration.
At the time of its completion in 1909, the Metropolitan Life Insurance Building was the tallest building in the world.
In 1908 the New York Herald installed a giant searchlight among the girders of the MetLife Tower, directly across from the park, to signal election results. A northward beam signaled a majority for Republicans. A southward beam signaled a majority for Democrats. |

I think in honor of Bob's gig the city should erect an outsized D-10 to raise funds for tired, poor, and huddled masses of steel guitar players. |
