Bill...the white fretbords with the red and black is AwEsOmE! A little note, your guitar and mine were traveling partners! They rode from Gary's house to Dallas together! It's a sweet guitar!
Here's a shot of Jody Cameron's boot in Dallas this past year! Mine is behind the booth under the sheet

Does Gary have a website that shows the different colors of steels he makes?
About how much would one cost like Bill Dobkins has, with the red and black sunburst? Just 3x5 polished?

Check out Bobbe Seymour's store page, he has a Ritt or two on there. Plan on about $2,600. I'm sure Gary could build you any color or combination of guitar you want. Get ahold of him. Tell him what you want, I know he can make it happen.

Yea Dennis I did check out Bobbe's Rittenberry line of steels. Is that where you got the sunburst? He mentioned it in his news letter yesterday. I kinda like the red and black one he's got. I'm just not decided I want to give up my D-10 just yet. but with my back getting worse all the time, it probly want be long before I have to go to an SD-10. I know the carters and the GFI's are lighter guitars, but I don't know about the Rittenberrys'. I think I'll email Gary and ask him what they weigh. Would you happen to know what your's weighs?

Ritt
Hi Terry,
I don't know what my SD-10 weighs off-hand, but Gary or Bobbe could tell you. Actually, my guitar is black mica, though I can easily appreciate everyone's Rittenberry, since they're all a work of art when he completes them. My guitar isn't a boat anchor. I can easily move it around, and most of the time I take it to gigs without breaking it down and putting it in the great case that came with it. Just local gigs for me. I can appreciate a lot of good guitars, but for me, the tone, touch and finish of the Rittenberry is exceptional.

Ok guys, you can welcome me to the Rittenberry Owner's Club. Wow, what a great steel. A big thanks to Dan at Steel Guitar Nashville for setting up (and resetting up) so many steels for me to compare. And a big thanks to my wonderful wife for this nice little present. I recently had a surgery that will keep me away from the D10 for awhile, and I'll just have to settle on playing this amazing little steel. Thanks to all (especially Bill Dobkins) for the passing on just how great these things are. Congrats Steve. I saw your new guitar hiding there. The pictures do not even come close to showing the beauty of that guitar. You'll be very happy. And now for a few pictures from the hotel room...

Bryan's Ritt
She's a beauty, Bryan! You really can't describe the craftsmanship, tone and playability of Gary's creation. It's just one of those things that has to be experienced first-hand. I think you made a wise decision on a guitar.

Steve, Yours will be L3. Gary has L1 and I have L2.
We should have a Rittenberry Party someday.
I haven't been invited to play but Gary and I are planning on being at Baxter Springs in Oct, along with Jody Cameron so there will be Three or more Ritts there. So you'all bring your Ritt's and come on down.

Congrats Steve. I told you she was beautiful. Were they able to get my drool off it? Just kidding. Make sure you get some sleep though. I know you'll enjoy it.

This weekend I played with a hard rockin country, R&B band (Missouri's most wanted band)I played my Ritt as hard as one could be played and it never went out of tune once. The more I play this Steel the more I'm amazed at the tone and playability.
Gary R called me Sat. I told him about how well it stayed in tune Friday nite, his comment was, what did you expect, its a Ritt. He was joking of course, but what he said is so true. Gary and the Rittenberry is a force to be dealt with in the steel community. I proud to be the owner of one.
