This is one of my all time favorite songs and especially this Suzy Bogguss version. Who is this steel player? I have a hunch but I'm not sure.

I think it is Bruce Bouton. (The comments on steel guitarists are interesting and man is she looking good!)

No it's not Bruce Bouton, but a someone with the same initials.

Bucky Baxter. Well my guess would have been wrong. He does a really nice job and the Emmons sounds great.
I hadn't heard of this guy but a quick search shows he has or had a strong association with Bob Dylan and is credited with taking Dylan's sound in new directions at some point.
