I love my Sierra Session U12 and am about to get a second. Both are keyless.
They both have plastic pegs ( ????) Some are broken and sharp.

Does anyone know who makes Replacement keyless tuning pegs? Preferably non plastic ones?
I'd love to outfit both guitars.

Turning that top string.....ouch

Hi Gary,

It's been about 5 years since I owned a Sierra (a 1983 gearless "Crown" S14), but I'm gonna take a stab at giving you some advice and/or help.

First, are you referring to the tuners for the strings, at the "keyhead"? Or the hex tuners for the changer, at your right endplate?

Unless the design has changed, I believe the hex tuners for the changer pull rods are brass. Some have a delron spacer behind them. However, on the "keyhead" end, there have been a few design changes over the years. On my 1983 guitar the tuners were a short length of all-thread with a Sperzle tuning key press-fitted. Later, that design went to brass hex head, press-fitted. The most recent designs I've seen have a knurled thumb-screw which appears to be black-oxided metal. Gary, are yours plastic? If so, let me know the thread size and the length of the threaded shaft. With that info I can advise the McMaster-Carr Supply Company part number for black-oxided, type 18-8 stainless steel thumb screws.

Let me know if this will be of help to you, amigo.

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn

Thanks Glenn for correcting my terminology. I'm talking about the tuners at the keyhead.
I haven't seen you in a while not since you played with Fowler. I do remember that 14 string sounded great.
Later in the day I'll get those measurements to you. It's for an 02 session u12.
Muchos, muchos gracias
Glenn, who are you playing with these days?
