You are an awsome pedal steel guitarist Jamie, I wish that I could do just a small percentage of that fantastic playing. Keep up the great work.

Jamie...you don't happen to like Paul's playing by any chance??...only kidding. That Carter you had was great, I remember seeing it when I went to see you play at Wall's club in Gloucestershire. I love my own Carter universal. it's a keeper. If you get the chance can you post the pics of my customised Carter with all the hand engravings I did on the forum? You're more savvy on computers than me :) take care mate.

I certainly don't mean this as any kind of put down cause you're playing some smoking licks no doubt. But please notice your posture when you play.

You might want to try to bring your right elbow down and sit up straight. Over time, you're gonna kill your body playing contorted like that. Notice how your left arm comes up when you start to pick, forcing a lot of tension into your left shoulder and neck. It also forces your left wrist into an awkward position even down at the third fret.

If you check out the old pros on youtube, virtually all of them sit up straight with their body in a relaxed position. Check out how Tommy White sits really low to the guitar and brings his hands to the instrument in a totally relaxed way.

Buddy and Hal sit higher but with the same focus. Weldon is really tall and sits high and ramrod straight. Lloyd looks like he is writing a letter at his desk, perfectly relaxed and perfectly straight up.

My first teacher back in 1974 busted me on my own "flying" elbow slouch. What it made me do is clear my head about what I was playing and it definitely put some crispiness into my touch.

Then again if you are comfortable like that, well there ya have it! Just a humble suggestion :- )

I have now changed my posture, as I was getting pains in my wrist, more relaxed now.

Thanks for the videos Tom
