Heart-felt Thanks to the GaSGA

Post by Deb Day »

The Georgia Peach Jam has been over almost a week now and the ONLY time Brett isn't talking about it is when he's asleep!! Doesn't SOMEBODY need a house guest for a week or two??? My ears are tired!! All kidding aside, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the GaSGA for allowing Brett to play last weekend, but mostly for being friends and mentors who give unconditional love and look past physical disabilities and limitations and to the heart that beats inside. Bill and Linda Ferguson, Tommy and Donna Dodd - we love you guys more than you'll ever know. Roger Crawford - Brett will always treasure the CD you gave him and the kind words. Timeless Highway - y'all are the greatest and we thank you so much for letting Brett sit in. There are so many more people that I could name. I'm absolutely blown away at the encouragement, love and support that Brett gets from Forum members all over the world and I'm convinced that steel players are some of the best people in the world!!! Brett will never forget his first time on stage with a live band and I just wish all of you who have been so kind to him could've been there to see it and celebrate with him! The whole day was a blast and the GaSGA board did an awesome job - but what would you expect from AWESOME people?? Thanks again steelers everywhere. We love you dearly.

Hi Deb,
Thank YOU! The feelings are certainly mutual. I believe we have alot of terrific times yet to come!! I'm sure you checked out all the photos and comments about Brett at the show. I know he must be one proud boy! As you and I talked during the show, we know the sense of self-worth and value doesn't just happen. Someone must believe in you. You have given your son a rare gift. He is very blessed.
We look forward to next time!
Love,
Donna
