Billy Martin
I know Charley Pride's guitar player-Billy Martin. One great singer, too!! He lives in the Fort Worth area and when not on the road is the bass man with Country Night Live who incidentally are playing tonight at Pearl's in Ft Worth. Billy played awhile in Branson before joining Pride. If this is who you're thinking of, e-mail me and I'll get you in touch with him.

Re: Billy Martin
Thanks Wayne, This is the right one. I did not know he had died. I was hoping to get some history on this steel he built. Its an all pull sd10 3&2. Three up and three lowers. He did a good job but it needs some TLC. I will post some pix if I trade for it.Wayne Douglas wrote:Bill, I am pretty sure the (Reverend) Billy Martin ,from Florida, died about two years ago.

Billy Martins steel
Bill,I played with Billy in some "round robin" gospel sings two or three times,he was very talented. I have checked with the only sources I can think of at the moment, to put you in contact with someone who might know the guitars history, but no luck.I discovered that the church he pastored is now defunct. If I can remember some of the other players names and get you a contact,I will.
