I use a Carr Rambler, Fender Twin, or a Mesa Boogie Studio Pre with a Sarno Freeloader depending on the room. Lately I have used a Nashville 112 with a Sarno Black Box. I also use a Sarno DirtBox for overdrive, a TC Electronics vintage delay, and a Peterson tuner. The Freeloader works great for the tube amps, and the BlackBox is a must with the Nashville 112.

Lately I've been using a variety of tone bars, a Sarno Freeloader, a Goodrich 120 pot pedal, my trusty old Mesa Maverick amp, two 12" Tone Tubby speakers and a 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan.

Rick: a smiley in your original "15 amps" post would have been helpful. There was no way to tell that you were joking around and, as Jim says, electricity is serious business. $:\$

I been searching all day for all them gizmos that ya'll are talking about,found some that sounds like rocket ships,the surf rolling in,jungle sounds,hundreds of different verbs,delays,chrous's,flangers,60's,70's,80's,distortoins,one had ALL the vintage amp tones,one even said it would make me sound like Van Halen,one even said it would make me sound like Rick playing fiddle,But I'm still trying to find that one that will make me sound like Mr. Seymour. Bo, I had an accident once, and my underwear was no longer clean! I play a Marlen SD10 w/ a Boss RV3 through my Fender Steel King. Got an old ZB bar given to me by Mike Smith. My pedal is a Goodrich L120. My seat is a Steeler's Choice with all the bells and whistles (the seat actually belongs to my cousin, Mark Greenway) Thanks, Mark! Oh, and my car is a '98 Isuzu Oasis mini-van! Gig wagon! Love it!

I've played through Mickey's setup, except it was his Mullen D-10 G2 that he had for sale at the TX show last March. It's a state-of-the-art setup, but expensive. I bought a Peavey TubeFex preamp off of ebay back in 2003 and have been playing through it ever since. I really like the sound(s) I can get through it. It's very versatile and has a built in tuner, which I use regularly. I've been considering building an "alternate" rig and using the DigiTech GSP1101, as it also has a built-in tuner AND built-in headphone amp, a plus for fine tuning in noisy conditions. The DigiTech also has a USB port for patching into recording software - sorta handy for home recording stuff. Has anyone used one of these? If so, I'd really like to hear your review, as I'm seriously considering dropping the dough for a new one.

Besides effects, I play through a QSC RMX850 - good rugged power amp, but heavy compared to the Stewart World amps, and it takes up two rack spaces. Finally, I use two Fred Justice cabinets with 15" Black Widows. I also had Fred build me a new case for my Sierra D-10 last year and picked it up from him at the St. Louis show. He said it was the first one he had built for a Sierra. I gave him measurements over the phone. It fit perfectly! I love the case. Fred makes some good quality gear! Thanks Fred!
