A long time ago my band at the time played
a country dance and someone hollered for a
Polka. The lead player had taken a break
and I was left to fill the bill.

This is the instrumental I played and used
a flat pick to accomplish the task. I forget
what tuning I used back then but on this clip
I am back to standard tuning. High to Low:
E--B--G--D--A--E
On the ending I do a E9/6 chord in three stages.
On standard guitar you can do it in one strum
but for Lap Steel we have to improvise to accomplish.
At fret 9 strum strings 1,2,3,4..... E6
At fret 11 strum 5,4,3, and 1 and 2 open all together
That's my way around it.
I use a six string National from the 40's 50's ?
This is difficult but fun when you get onto it.
