Fender Silverface Deluxe Reverb replacement speaker
Just wondering if anyone has tried the Weber California in there Deluxe Reverb? Do they sound anything like the old JBL's
I can't compare with the JBL's (no experience) but most comments on the Cali's is that they are similar (not identical). I have a ceramic Cali in a SFDR and it sounds excellent. There are other speakers that I've been tempted to try but when it comes down to it, I like what I've got so why mess with it.

I have an old 70's Gretsch Nashville pro steel amp with a 15" Altec and that amp sounds sweet for guitar and Pedal steel but I just am not satisfied with the Weber 12F150 Ceramic light dope speaker I placed in my SFDR I just want the most clean headroom I can get. I know it is only a 22 watt amp but it is a loud 22 watts.

The 12F150 comes in 30 and 50 watt versions. I use the 50 watter in my 15W Blues Jr, and it has plenty of headroom for me. At least more than the amp does...Jeff Jackson wrote:I have an old 70's Gretsch Nashville pro steel amp with a 15" Altec and that amp sounds sweet for guitar and Pedal steel but I just am not satisfied with the Weber 12F150 Ceramic light dope speaker I placed in my SFDR I just want the most clean headroom I can get.
