My girl and I are big supporters of the american pit bull terrier. She's a vet tech and volunteers for the rescue grouo BADRAP.org as well. They're the group that rescued a lot of the Vick dogs. Both of ours came from abusive situations, but they're sweethearts

Hats off to you and your girl Ted. My dog Babe was a rescue as well...fortunately no abuse. It's great to see that some of those dogs are able to get back to some kind of normal life. Babe was born with one blue eye that tends to give her a ditzy-Wiley Coyote look sometimes but she is a wonderful animal...can't imagine being without her. Here's to happy endings. Cheers

I just read your blog entry - congrats on your big hearted kindness on rescuing Sophie - she looks like a sweetheart. I cannot fathom the cruelty of people who subject these dogs to a life of fighting.

There are a lot of messed up people out there, it only highlights the need for education at all income levels. Education is the greatest weapon against violence of all forms. Sophie is indeed a sweetheart. She is everything the american pit bull terrier was bred to be- long before ghetto trash ruined their PR:

Heres our two. Bella, on the left, is an American Eskimo/Poodle mix. Copper, on the right, is a Terrier/Shiz-zhu.

Bella is a big suck and never wants to leave my side.

Copper has a deep, deep hatred of squirrels and spends most of his day ensuring they never enter our back yard. You can see in this pic that he's distracted by a possible sighting.

Letterman has flown us out to NY twice for Stupid Pet tricks and we've been bumped both times! Still waiting for that big break so he can start earning and I can spend more time practicing...

Here are a couple pictures of our little doggies. Casper is the black and white dog. His mother strayed in and had puppies five years ago and this one rolled out of the doghouse all stiff and frozen. Randy brougt him in and I rubbed him down with a towel and he popped awake and never went back outside. He has been glued to my side ever since. A big grumpy gus who thinks no one should go near Mom, especially if she has a bag of chips near. I would be lost without Casper. We both share that looney personality complex.

No idea what kind Casper is. We think he has some basset and some border collie in him.

The little off-white dog belongs to Austin. His friend works at a puppy breeder and this one got ring worm and went past his sell age and they were going to kill him (I hate puppy mills). His friend brought him home and his dad said no way, so we ended up being the softies who kept the dog. He is a clown and keeps us laughing. His favorite thing to do is get The Old Man (Casper) by the tail or by the collar and pull on him until he gets up and plays with him. His name is Buddy and he is a York-chon (Yorkie-Bichon Frise mix).
