Star Route - My Window Faces The South

Hadn't seen this one brought up
here before, 'scuze me if it has.

Steel solo starts at 0:47, but who is it behind the steel?

I don't think it's Frank Arnett, but possibly Jay McDonald?
Dig Campbells two 'visual notes' at 1:38, wicked, haha!
Any ideas on the Fiddlers Three or other musicians?

Great clip! Jay McDonald was pictured on Buck Owens' "On The Bandstand" LP:

Yes, it looks like Jay McDonald. Playing a Fender PSG in both pictures above. That's a fun clip to watch! It's interesting to see and hear a young Glen Campbell playing guitar.

The Steel Guitar looks like the top of a Fender 1000.

Glen Campbell is possibly playing a "Mosrite" Guitar.

Glen's guitar could be modified Fender Jaguar: stop tailpiece installed, middle pickup installed, new non-Fender pickguard and a new, non-Fender neck.

That nails it. It's a Teisco. I wonder if Cooder and Lindley got the idea of using Teiscos from Glen?

It sounded great! And he looked like he was having a good time. He's also playing it on this.

And he's pictured with it here:

I agree with Bill Maynard, the steel player's face matches Hal Rugg.
