My Emmons seats has given up the ghost, so I'm looking for something similar: cloth seat, strong latches (for flying), and sturdy. No back.

| There are several good one out there, but my preference is Ken Rollins' Steeler's Choice. They're good looking, sturdy and COMFORTABLE. I like the back and the side car is very convenient for strings, tool kit and tuner. No more getting up to get stuff out of the main compartment if you break a string on stage. |

I recently bought two Steeler's Choice seats, one EZ Rider and one Sidekick. I love them both. Very well made, great design features. And Dan Rollans is great to deal with. I'm actually thinking about one more...

Steeler's Choice seats,they are great,i have 2,the sidecar model with the power strip built in is nice for adding wall warts and powering the Hilton vol.pdl .i also plug amp in it and you can turn off everything right there also. Dan will build you what you want.

| I found that my pack-a-seat with back and sidecar didn't hold everything I have to bring. I still have to have a gig bag full of cords and stuff. So the steel seat was just one more big heavy item to schlepp along. Now it stays home as my practice room seat, and I carry a $30 foldup keyboard seat to gigs. |

| I too use a Steelseat, and it is very deep and able to accommodate a lot of gear. The cushion is really firm as well, with no sag. Solid as a rock in every way. More like a road case than anything. |

I use a Steelseat built by the late, sadly missed, Thom Beeman. Built like a brick s***house! Comfy, too.
